Allow 2 Player lobby to add 3rd character

In the same mechanics of single player being able to control card play for additional characters, but being able to do it in a 2 person multiplayer lobby and host chooses who controls extra character or somehow make it neutral for both. Game seems a lot harder playing with only two people and a lot of balance only works with all 3.

QuirkenYeah, agreed. It's way, way less fun playing with 2 players because you have so much less flexibility in party makeup if you want to be survivable.
Being able to jointly pick a NPC (using a "vote-then-random" system like floor torment selection) as your 3rd player like you can in singleplayer would be nice.
